Description: This proposal looks at one of the most difficult aspects of learning design, that of student motivation. I propose that moving to online and remote learning platforms will make this and even tougher nut to crack, and we will want to explore options especially given that most research on this topic focuses on building online communities which while and effective tool is not always applicable in an online course environment and we must look at methods of motivating students on an individual level through the course and platform itself.
